It's a commissioned work from Penguin Random House, creating a series of illustrations for the calendar based on famous novels and the writer's hometown around the world. My part is about Chinese writer Lu Xun and his hometown in Shaoxing, a city full of rivers and traditional gardens.

I want to incorporate traditional Chinese elements in a fusion style, combining the construction and content of Chinese painting with bright colors and simple textures, to portray a Chinese fairyland.
