Narrative Illustration in Practice | TUMO Creative Lab
Invited by TUMO Center for Creative Technologies, Yulong Lli led a two-week intensive illustration workshop in Armenia for local youth under 25. The project focused on exploring Armenia’s rich viticulture and winemaking heritage through poster design.
To connect deeply with local history and culture, the cohort visited local wineries, explored museum archives, and practiced still-life studies of grapes. Yulong introduced the concept of using grapes as an identity symbol for creators, framing them as a medium for visual storytelling.
Through collage, paper cutting, and digital drawing, participants transformed their cultural research into compelling narrative posters.
