Home Residency Watercolor

Born out of three months of strict lockdown in Shanghai, Home Residency is a personal project where Yulong transformed his home confinement into an intimate, self-initiated art residency.

Turning his gaze inward to the quiet rhythm of daily life, Yulong allowed his brush to wander across paper, finding solace and emotional release in the ordinary. From fresh vegetables in the fridge and potted plants on the windowsill to fleeting moments retrieved from photo albums, each painting captures a tranquil fragment of time. Through this practice of attentive observation, the project becomes a visual diary of resilience, balance, and quiet contemplation during an era of uncertainty.
