Mid-Autumn Mooncake Gift Box

Designed in collaboration with City of Dreams Macau, this Mid-Autumn mooncake box translates spatial architecture and fine art into a singular geometric language.

Inspired by Zaha Hadid’s Morpheus hotel and traditional Chinese interlocking food tiers, the box features a top moon-phase mechanism that shifts between crescent and full moon. Inside, a circular Tangram puzzle forms the Chinese character for "pavilion" (亭).

Serving as the core visual DNA, the Tangram pieces deconstruct into fluid water-ripple patterns and bespoke icons across the packaging, referencing Mathieu Lehanneur’s Ocean Memories sculpture and The House of Dancing Water.
